Have you ever imagined have a super mind?

Of course, it is easy to transform our mind and have better learning … really, it’s easy. “Practice makes the master” you’ll say I’m bad at math, I’m bad for science, I’m not good with numbers. Let me tell you one thing, if you keep that thought how far you think you’ll get? all we have the potential to transform radically our life, we can become geniuses if we so desire. If most of your life you have been convinced that the magic is far from you, so be it.

Then I will discuss three topics that will help you be a genius (practice makes perfect):

*Methapor or analogy.

A good option to remember what you are studying is the use of metaphors or analogies. An analogy is a comparison or relationship with something in particular. For example if you are studying programming; specifically what you are studying is an algorithm. An algorithm is a series of steps to achieve a result which would be your analogy? the steps that are used for a food recipe, that is the analogy of an algorithm. This is a very basic analogy, but you can go up in level.

The metaphor is very similar to the analogy. The metaphor helps us to realize that something is similar to something like: Italy looks like a boot …the country of the boot. Also you can go up in level …

Here is an important point, procrastination occur when we postpone or delaying something. The cellular phone and social networks keep us from doing what we need to do when we have to do. A table full of papers they say that we are in a state of procrastination. A well known technique to finish with procrastination is the Pomodoro Technique. The pomodoro technique consist in 25 minutes of work hard without interruption and with 5 minutes of break (is reward for the work hard). Some people used how time 1 hour of work, depends of each person the measurement time to use.

In this part I´ll talk of the “chunk”, for example a puzzle each of these parts represents a chunk and the whole puzzle is a bigger chunk. Is more easy learn something in parts that with all the parts.

You must be focused on process and not in the product. The process is more easy to understand with the pomodoro technique, the process is the 25 minutes; you are focused on the time and not in finish the task. Finish the task is the product and is not conveniente to do this because you waste your time and you are not learnig very well.

how to make a chunk?

1) Whatever you are learning FOCUS ON the data you want to chunk. when you begin to learn something you are making new neural patterns and connecting them with preexisting patterns.

2) The second step in chunking is to understand the basic idea you’re trying to chunk. If it comes to solving a problem, need to understand the basic essence of the problem. Understanding is like a superglue that helps hold the underlying memory traces
together. chunks can be made without understanding, but ultimately are useless in your learning, you would be coming to the illusion of competition. That said, it is  important  understanding.

3) The third step to chunking is gaining context, so you can see not just how, but also when to use this chunk, so that you can see not only when to use the chunk, if not when not to use the chunk. Context means learning when to use that technique instead of some other technique. Practice will help strengthen the information (chunk).
